Northwest Georgia Summer Singers
The Northwest Georgia Summer Singers was created in 2010 as an outreach of the William Baker Choral Foundation. Located between Atlanta and Chattanooga, the 50-member chorus attracts singers from the northwest Atlanta suburbs to Chattanooga, including Cartersville, Rome amd surrounding communities.
The 2010 chorus performed Vivaldi Gloria with orchestra and local soloists, along with a wide diversity of repertoire. Charles Nelson was appointed Music Director in 2014 and has led the ensemble to a new level of growth and artistic accomplishment. The 2014 and 2015 concerts of diverse classics and spirituals have attracted a growing membership and large audiences.
