NGFS serves the northwest Georgia community centered in Cartersville, GA. Cartersville is considered a bedroom community of Atlanta located on I-75 approximately 45 minutes from downtown Atlanta with a population just under 20,000. 

The group has a diverse membership ranging in age from 26 to 73 with musical experience ranging from high school chorus to music educators with a 6 year specialist degree to professional opera singers.

The 2016 repertoire includes compositions by Alexander Kopylow, Robert Shaw, Alice Parker, John Rutter, David Danner, John Ratledge, Eric Whitaker, Ola Gjeilo, John David, Craig Hella Johnson, Pentatonix, and more.

Membership in the Northwest Georgia Festival Singers is by competitive audition.  Auditions are heard in August and January of each year, or as vacancies in the chorus occur.
