Baroque Summer Institute
The Baroque Summer Institute constitutes a new format for our summer choruses. From the first rehearsal to the final concert, the entire season of the Baroque Summer Institute will occur within 21 days. It is the perfect solution for singer s who wish to participate in a summer chorus, but prefer a shorter season. The BSI performs works by Baroque composers such as Bach, Buxtehude, Vivaldi, Handel, Telemann and many others with distinguished soloists and full orchestra. The Baroque Summer Institute will open to all adult and mature youth singers without audition.
Andrew Phillip Schmidt will serve as Guest Conductor during the China Residency of Lynn Swanson. For the 2018 Baroque Summer Institute he has chosen a program that celebrates treasures of the Italian Baroque.
