No audition is required for membership.  Participation is open to all adults and mature youth. 

Registration for the 18th Summer Singers of Kansas City will open March 1, 2026.

The Cobb Summer Singers, founded by Lynn Swanson in 2006, ranges from 100-125 members and is annually joined by distinguished soloists and chamber orchestra.

The Cobb Summer Singers has long been one of the most exciting programs of the Choral Foundation, having presented performances before capacity audiences of works including Beethoven: Mass in C and Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Bach: Christ lag in todesbanden, Mendelssohn: Elijah, Mozart: Solemn Vespers, Mendellsohn: Elijah, Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem, and many more.

Under the leadership of new Music Director & Conductor, James Cordell, the Cobb Summer Singers will perform a 2026 program entitled I Hear America Singing, including music of the American Experience and patriotic selections.
