No audition is required for membership. Participation is open to all adults and mature youth.

The Summer Singers of Lee’s Summit was created in 2014 to serve the growing Kansas City area communities of Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs, Independence, Lake Lotawana, and beyond. The 75-member chorus has performed concerts of diverse classics, including Mozart Missa Brevis in D and Coronation Mass, Handel: Coronation Anthems and choruses from Messiah, Vivaldi: Gloria and Beatus Vir; Haydn: The Creation and Fauré Requiem, each presented with distinguished soloists and members of the Kansas City Symphony.
The 2022 Summer Singers of Lee’s Summit and chamber orchestra welcomed music director, Jennifer Lahasky, in a performance of the Requiem of Gabriel Fauré. In 2023, the Summer Singers of Lee’s Summit presented an acclaimed performance of Donald McCullough’s Holocaust Cantata in collaboration with local rabbis and artwork from the students of the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy.
