The Summer Singers of Lee’s Summit was created in 2014 to serve the growing Kansas City area communities of Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs, Independence, Lake Lotowana, and beyond.  Led by co-directors Lynn Swanson and William Baker, The 75-member chorus has performed concerts of diverse classics, including Mozart Missa Brevis in D and Coronation Mass, Handel: Coronation Anthems, Haydn: The Creation and Faure Requiem, each presented with distinguished soloists and members of the Kansas City Symphony.

The summer of 2018 will feature a program of the most beloved works of the Baroque period: Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria and the Grand Choruses from George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, each performed with professional soloists and orchestra musicians.
