(ATLANTA) Zimria Festivale Atlanta performs HOPE AND REMEMBRANCE

Zimria presents choral music from different Jewish traditions & music styles, featuring the Holocaust Songs, arranged by William Dreyfoos.

HOPE AND REMEMBRANCE, will showcase the wide range of choral music of Jewish religious heritage, Jewish themes, and from Jewish composers and lyricists - all of which combine to form our rich collective heritage of "Jewish Music".

The centerpiece is an arrangement of 'Songs of the Holocaust' by Atlanta composer, William Dreyfoos, featuring Soprano, Margaret Kelly Cook. Other stand-outs include two works, 'Sh'ma' & 'Adon Olam' arranged by Atlanta native, Amy Thropp. Other highlights on the program include two popular tunes by Jewish composers, 'Over the Rainbow' and 'Someone to Watch Over Me'.

Cantor Tracey Scher will also be a featured soloist on the program, along with Don Popenbrock, organist, and Professional Chamber Ensemble.
