The 150-voice Summer Singers of Atlanta perform Johannes Brahms EIN DEUTSCHES REQUIEM with pianists Leanne Elmer Herrmann and Ivy Belk Pirl, and soloists Arietha Lockhart and Stephen Ozcomert. The work will be performed in German, using the composer's scoring for two-pianos. The concert is the 30th annual performance by Atlanta's original summer chorus, and marks founding director William Baker's final appearance. Andrew Phillip Schmidt tales the reins as Music Director in 2020.
