The William Baker Festival Singers open their 21st concert season in Kansas City with a program called "The Sacred Fire." The 50-voice semi-professional ensemble will sing repertoire spanning nearly 1000 years, from Hildebard von Bingen's O IGNIS SPIRITUS to a work by Composer in Residence, Kansas Citian Ed Frazier Davis. Included in the journey will be selections by Charles Wood, Javier Busto, and Eriks Esenvalds, along with the American hymns, spirituals and gospel songs for which the Festival Singers are known.
